"EVERY CHILD HAS SOMETHING TO TEACH ME"
In my teaching practice, I like to employ lessons that encourage critical thinking. I feel it is important for students to learn how to communicate about their own process as well as to be able to interact with others while collaborating. A frequent phrase I tell my students is “we are all teachers and learners”.
Diversity is key in teaching materials and methods. As all students do not learn in the same way, more learners will be reached. It is like different hallways all leading to the same learning space.
I believe school should be a sanctuary for students to explore their interests, think about the world around them and expand their literacy and community horizons. It is a place for all learners, regardless of income, skill level or ability to grow and flourish.
